Safeguarding Commitment

At Smart Learning Centre, the safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and respectful environment where children can learn, grow and develop with confidence.

All staff and tutors are expected to follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of every child attending our sessions.

Safe Recruitment

All tutors and staff working with children must:

  • Hold a valid DBS check
  • Demonstrate appropriate experience or qualifications
  • Follow safeguarding and professional conduct guidelines

Supervision

Children attending sessions at Smart Learning Centre are supervised at all times by trained staff.

Sessions are delivered in small groups to ensure:

  • appropriate supervision
  • individual learning support
  • a safe learning environment

Respectful Environment

Bullying, discrimination or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.

Safeguarding Concerns

Communication with Parents

Parents and carers are encouraged to communicate with us if they have any concerns regarding their child’s wellbeing or learning experience.

2. Parent Terms & Conditions

By registering a child with Smart Learning Centre, parents or carers agree to the following conditions.

Attendance

Students are expected to attend sessions regularly and arrive on time. If a student is unable to attend, parents should inform the centre as soon as possible.

Behaviour Expectations

Students are expected to behave respectfully towards tutors, staff and other students. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in a warning or removal from sessions.

Fees

Tuition fees must be paid according to the agreed payment schedule. Failure to make payment may result in suspension of sessions.

Health Information

Parents must inform the centre of any relevant medical conditions, learning needs or additional support requirements that may affect their child during sessions.

Communication

Parents are encouraged to maintain open communication with tutors and staff regarding their child’s progress.

3. Tutor Code of Conduct

All tutors working with Smart Learning Centre are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

Tutors must:

  • Treat all students with respect and fairness
  • Follow safeguarding procedures
  • Maintain professional boundaries with students
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Protect student confidentiality

Tutors must not:

  • Engage in inappropriate communication with students
  • Share personal contact details with students
  • Use discriminatory or inappropriate language
  • Conduct sessions without proper supervision where required

4. Behaviour Policy

Smart Learning Centre aims to create a positive and respectful learning environment for all students.

Students are expected to:

  • Respect tutors and fellow students
  • Follow instructions during sessions
  • Participate positively in learning activities

The centre promotes positive behaviour through encouragement and guidance.

If behaviour repeatedly disrupts learning, the centre may:

  • issue a warning
  • contact parents
  • suspend or remove a student from sessions
